The Project

ENTER ZEEP is an ongoing, ambitious multimedia project, straight from the mind of Nolan Cross, an independent Canadian writer and aspiring filmmaker.

The Saga takes place in the displaced fictional country known as Zeep, where the German detective Albert Weber has founded a skilled group of idiosyncratic heroes in an attempt to manage some of the many threats facing the people of the territory.

Their archnemesis, the sadomasochistic drug baron known as Malis Kafka, resurfaces with new catastrophic plans to resurrect an ancient cult militia that will divide and conquer the already fractured landscape.

ZEEP will take you on a fantastical, deranged, and philosophical bizarre quest that you have never before seen, through 12 episodic-style volumes, two of which have been made into graphic novels and are available here, for purchase in Papercopy and free to Download!

The rest of the story will be released as an all-encompassing book, complete with color plates, with several related projects and other installations to follow in the future.

Themes:

• ZEEP blends all genres. Epic fantasy, strange dark comedy, gut-wrenching horror, cosmic science fiction, mystery thriller, all-too human melodrama, high adventure, and fiery war are all molded together to create something truly unique.

 

• ZEEP shows the perspective of its heroes and villains in equal measure. Characters will appear in one chapter, and return much later. Everything has hidden details, and re-reading is encouraged.

 

• A dark sense of story. Throughout everything, sticking with the tale and enduring the darkness is all necessary to see the light at the end of the journey.

 

• Zeep is a world lost in time, with the medieval, modern, and futuristic fusing aesthetics and cultures into a sprawling cohesion.

 

• And, above all else, layered characters and riveting, often delightfully weird dialogue. No character is as they seem, and factions of all kinds soon burst into the fray from every corner of Zeep, as the universe-traversing battle is set!

 

The vision for ZEEP is that it breaks onto the big screen as a limited series or feature film.

Everything in the world is imagined as cinematic, and in these days with a draught of original content, we hope ZEEP stands as a new and exciting creation.
